Another great week

A beautiful, clear day with a nice covering of fresh snow today - looks like its set for a great week.

Last week the pistes were relatively quiet given that it was the UK half term. I think the next couple of weeks will be busier, though, with the Dutch, French & Swiss all on holiday. Even so the skiing should be fantastic.

Great Conditions

The cold weather is set to continue until probably Wednesday when slightly warmer weather and snow (10-20cms) is forecast.

Conditions so far this season have been fantastic. Snow fell virtually every day between mid December and mid January and since then we have had settled, sunny, cold weather – down to -23c in the village. Apart from the odd busy day over the festive season the pistes have been quite (prompting on client to compare it to “having your own private ski resort”!)

Bookings have been good so far and we are pretty well booked now until the 3rd March but have space from then until the end of the season so if you would like to make the most of what is turning into an excellent season please visit our web site www.skimorgins.com

Great Skiing

After the snow of the last 2 or 3 weeks high pressure is forecast for the next few days.

Loads of snow, plenty of sunshine and quiet pistes – perfect!

Happy New Year

A great start to the season – loads of snow, lots of happy clients and quiet pistes.

Congratulations to Didier Defago, Morgins’ very own Olympic champion, who won the Bormio World Cup downhill the other day. A great achievement after his abscence from the circuit last season with a ruptured knee ligament.

The 1st signs of winter

After a glorious 3 weeks the Indian summer is over with temperatures falling to freezing last night and snow falling in the village this morning. It’s too early for the snow to stay but at least it feels like winter.

Snow conditions

Sadly the majority of the skiing on the Swiss side is now closed apart from the Fouilleuse,Tuche & Plan-Joyeux and 1 run in Les Crosets. We will be running our minibuses over to Chatel on a daily basis until the end of the season.

Happy skiing!!!

Last 3 weeks

Well, here we are on the 31st March with just 3 weeks of the season to go. The snow is holding up well but the link between Champoussin & Les Crosets has finally given up and has been replaced by a bus. Departures are every half an hour and the journey time is 10  minutes. We will also be taking our minibuses over to Chatel on a daily basis from Sunday 3rd April.

The pistes above Morgins are still in good condition & clients are reporting good spring snow on the French side as well. You need to get going early, ski hard until about 2pm then stop for a nice lunch!

Happy skiing
